As IMT’s Associate Director of Utility and Regulatory Strategy, Julia is responsible for developing and deploying local, state, and national level strategies to achieve broad-scale transformation. Prior to joining IMT, Julia was the Public Policy and Strategy Manager at Xcel Energy, helping the multi-state utility set a nation-leading vision for a carbon-free future, as well as tracking national trends around evolving utility business models, coordinating company regulatory strategies, and preparing comments on state and federal energy policy. Julia brings over a decade of experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors working on energy and sustainability strategies.
Julia has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota, with a concentration in energy and environmental policy. She is a founding Board member of the Twin Cities Young Professionals in Energy group and was named to the Midwest Energy News 40 under 40.
