Joy Getrude Togo is a Senior Associate with the Building Innovation Hub at the Institute for
Market Transformation (IMT), where she supports efforts to advance building performance
policies and drive compliance with Building Energy Performance Standards in the Washington,
DC region. She brings experience sustainability program coordination, community and
stakeholder engagement, and clean energy program implementation.
Prior to joining IMT, she worked with the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition,
where she supported electric vehicle outreach and workforce development initiatives. She also
served with the City of Takoma Park, contributing to climate action planning, Municipal
sustainability programming and community engagement programs.
Joy holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from American University.
