In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated disruptions to building operations, a major tenant came to IMT requesting help in starting conversations with their landlords on how to optimize building efficiency during low occupancy periods. As a result, IMT produced a template letter to kick off communication between building owners and tenants to help both parties optimize building energy usage while occupancy is low and or buildings are vacant. It includes an interactive form letter that landlords and owners can populate and circulate among tenants to gather basic information that can inform operations strategies.
