Establishing a Plan to Achieve Energy Code Compliance in Cities, a new resource developed by the City Energy Project, helps guide U.S. city leadership and their building department leadership in working together to implement an effective strategy to achieve high levels of energy code compliance for new and renovated buildings.
The document introduces factors responsible for low compliance rates, followed by the process for putting an improvement plan in place, and finally the details of the challenges and effective strategies for addressing each challenge. In an effort to provide solutions for varying administrative structures, a wide range of strategies and recommendations are presented.
It is a companion document to the City Energy Project Code Compliance Assessment Methdology for Medium and Large Cities.
