Today at the U.S. Capitol, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) and Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) introduced the SAVE Act, a bill to factor energy costs into the mortgage underwriting process. The SAVE Act would raise lending standards, make energy-efficient homes more affordable, and create 83,000 jobs by 2020. IMT strongly supports the SAVE Act. Our press release has more information.
